Protecting Oceans
While Supporting Your Health
At Cleanmarine, we believe your wellbeing shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet. That’s why sustainable krill fishing practices and environmental standards for fishing are central to how we source, produce, and deliver our omega-3 krill oil. Strictly regulated by the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR).
You can learn more about CACAMLR standards for sustainable krill fisheries at

Protecting The Antarctic Ecosystem
Krill are the cornerstone of the Southern Ocean ecosystem, feeding whales, seals,
penguins, and other species. To protect this vital balance, we only work with suppliers
who operate responsibly and transparently:

- Eco-Harvesting™ technology – designed to eliminate bycatch and preserve krill integrity.
- Fishing well below the threshold – less than 1% of the estimated krill biomass is harvested annually, as per CCAMLR limits. The current harvest level is approximately 0.8% of the estimated krill biomass in Area 48.
- 25 years of stability – the Antarctic krill biomass has remained stable for more than two decades, supported by peer-reviewed scientific studies and industry monitoring
- Partnership with Aker BioMarine
- Aker Biomarine is part of the global ambition to establish Marine Protected Areas that together make up 30% of our oceans. This is a sub target of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 14 Aker we have committed to be part of solving. You can learn more here: https://www.akerbiomarine.com/blog/marine-protected-areas
- Aker Biomarine supplier was the first krill harvesting company to receive CarbonNeutral® certification.
