This summer, we will be slowly getting back out into the world and seeing friends and family for some much missed special occasions. Here’s how to make sure your skin is as ready as you are.

Now that it’s looking likely that things will slowly be starting to return to normal this summer, we’re all trying to remember how to do the things that used to be so simple to us – like wearing anything that isn’t leisurewear!

One of the things that lots of us have missed over the last year are our trips to see our favourite beauty professionals. Where we may have had regular appointments for our eyebrows and our skin (and do not get us started on the hair!) we’ve been managing at home for the last few months. So how do we make sure our complexions are in the best shape they can be for the summer when we can get back out and see friends and family for barbecues, small weddings and outdoor activities? We’ve got some tips below.

  1. Lots of our skincare professionals have pivoted to offering online services over the last year and hopefully some of that will stay even as things get back to normal. Virtual consultations are a great way to address some skin issues you may be having and find out from someone who knows what you should be doing and what products you should be using. There has been lots of evidence of self-diagnosis and sometimes using the wrong products are just as harmful as the problem itself.
  1. Remember that the single best thing you can do for your skin at any time is to wear a good high-level SPF. That’s every single day, not just when it’s sunny, not just on holidays but always.
